Hi folks.

I was wondering if there was any way to create a polygon layer i.e. polygon feature class, using the output of the Segment Mean Shift function in ArcGIS Pro 3.1? I have applied the Segment Mean Shift function to a raster image of woodland canopy, and it has performed fairly well in segmenting individual tree canopies. It would be great if these segments could be then converted into a polygon layer which could then be used in further works. I have tried to find a way of doing this, either directly or indirectly and have found nothing. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Even if there is not an easy or direct way of doing this, I am interested to know of more convoluted workarounds!

Hi

Have you looked at the Raster to Polygon geoprocessing tool?

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/3.1/tool-reference/conversion/raster-to-polygon.htm

This should take your segmented raster layer and create a polygon feature class.

I hope this helps

many thanks ed
