Simultaneously editing a feature class with desktop and mobile device

I was wondering if I was able to simultaneously edit different attributes of a feature class on both the desktop version of ArcMap and on ArcPad. I would edit on or two attributes solely on the desktop and locations with the mobile device.

I'm using an AXF file with my mobile device, so does the check-in process somehow use the logfile to only update the feature class with the changes I've made, or when I check in my data from ArcPad, does it overwrite all the changes I made in ArcMap?

Thanks,

Hi Matt,

The check-in process via the Data Manager toolbar will only update your geodatabase with the features that were added, edited, or deleted rather than wholesale overwrite your entire feature class.  Please note though that there is no conflict resolution mechanism in place during the check-in process, so if you happened to edit the same feature in both the desktop and on the mobile device, the last edit in wins.

Thanks!
