New GeoInquiries for Atlas and MapMaker!
The Esri Education Team is pleased to announce that we have released over a dozen re-crafted GeoInquiry™ activities specifically for use with the new ArcGIS Instant app called Atlas or the new MapMaker.
Just as the previous additions, this third edition of GeoInquiries includes a teacher guide with national standards, learning objectives - using a five-step inquiry model. Each teacher guide also includes "next steps", common textbook references and are licensed under Creative Commons, for easy modification. New with addition three, each GeoInquiry now includes a homepage with links to the teacher guide, interactive map, supplemental resources and select learning management system integrations. Supplemental resources include student worksheet versions of the activities, a new self-check quiz, vocabulary support, and more.
Edition three represents the most significant change to GeoInquiries we’ve released. We hope that you will begin exploring and using these activities immediately. Activities from three collections are currently being converted, including: Earth science, World geography, and Human geography. We anticipate all level one activities in these collections being converted to addition three by late fall.
