Hi, 2nd and 3rd could be ruled out. 2nd: No log file(.LDF) file exists in the check out location. 3rd: No database attached to my SQL Server Express. For production database to properly check out, is there any set up to do during the setting up production environment or create new nautical product processes, such as assign SQL Server Express connection? Regards, Amy

Hi, I'm trying to produce S-57 data in the desktop production environments. I have set up the product library, production environment, create new nautical product, and assign shape to AOI. Then I want to check out product database for editing but get an error. The error message is attached. A mdf file is outputted to the check out location. However, I couldn't attach it to my sql express or do anything about it. I'm using ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting 10.2.2. and SQL Server Express 2012. How to resolve this problem? Will the check out database attached to SQL Express automatically? Any help is appreciated. Regards, Amy

Hi, Andrea Our organization have our own chart symbols and specifications, which are not exactly following INT1. Based on your previous descriptions, I'll need to modify the color scheme and representation rules. I might need to add new representation rules and assign to features as well. When calculating symbology, INT1 style is used by default. Is it possible to create a new set of style and apply to my chart product? I'm trying to figure out how to customize symbology for chart producing if it is different from INT1. Thanks again! Best Regards, Amy

Hi, Andrea Thank you for your information. I have tried your steps and have some follow-up questions. I followed your steps to create a Class Template, but the new product didn't inherit these elements in the layout. However, if I create a Series Template, the new product did inherit those elements from Series Template. 1. Why couldn't I use Class Template as template like you described? 2. I'm confused by the Replace Template functionalities.(http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/guide-books/extensions/production-mapping/replacing-templates-and-instructions.htm) Is it use for updating product's layout with Series Template or Class Template? 3. How to modify symbology rules? I would like to customize some symbology rules before symbology is calculated. I deeply appreciate your help! Best Regards, Amy

Hi, I'm trying to create paper chart with ArcGIS for Maritime: Charting 10.3.1. The product library was downloaded from here.(https://github.com/Esri/maritime-product-library-samples) I've loaded S-57 cells into NIS, created nautical product, checked out the product, ran Product Library Chart Automation tool, and calculated symbology. The resulting layout has no other layout element but dataframe. In the last part of this demo, layout element seems to be generated automatically (https://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2015/09/08/new-arcgis-for-maritime-charting-training-seminar/) Does the product library contain any layout template or do I need to define one? How would I apply layout elements automatically? Best Regards, Amy

Hi Craig, In 10.2.2, if import successful, there will be a log file summarize all the feature classes and feature counts have converted. Does the GP tool in 10.3.1 still write import log? If so, could you send me the log file you have tested. I'm trying to figure out what feature in my S-57 data causes the import process to fail. Best Regards, Amy

Hi Craig, Thanks for your explaination. It's for production purpose. I need to import this S-57 cell so that I can make some edits in ArcMap and export to a new S-57 file. I'll contact our local ESRI agency to see if they can troubleshoot this issue in 10.2.2. Thanks! Best Regards, Amy

In my case, the version of the geodatabase matters. I have those VST tables and CompassroaseP feature class since ArcGIS 9.3. After coping the CompassroaseP feature class to a geodatabase created in 10, those weird lines occurred.

I have a shapfile with simplified chinese characters. I added a *.cpg (cp936) and the data displayed correctly in ArcMap 10.2.2 However, when I copied the shapfile with *.cpg to another computer, which was ArcMap 10.1, the data was not showing properly. Is it possible to use the codepage file in ArcMap 10.1? Best Regards, Amy
