Hi @ThomasHervey1 , This is an old announcement and probably you forgot about it, but I'm trying to figure out how the items' source are coming from. This is my situation: I published datasets built by other people. When I published this datasets, I appear as the default contact for the datasets. See for example this dataset: https://stridata-si.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/989e6e9f80564319be8fa6ab66ffebbd_0/ I went to (per the Hub's documentation): Overview > Citation > Citation Contacts > Organization Overview > Resource Info > Resource Contact > Organization Name And changed the values there to acknowledge the creators for the datasets. After refreshing the metadata, double check that the values are written into, I don't see any changes on my Hub page. I'm still appearing as the Contact point. Is there another way to make these changes happen? Am I missing something? Thanks!

I was going crazy with my maps that were working just fine. The same error as OP and I found one layer with the "-" on the index name, created by Experience Builder widget. After removing the layer from the map, the map started to work just fine as before. So, the big question is: when are you going to stop Experience Builder making those indexes names that are preventing taking offline the maps? MJ

Team, I agree this functionality is a must to have, implemented exactly as Story maps did. I have a dashboard showing different variables like temperature, precipitation, wind, etc., coming from different stations on a map. I need to turn off/on the layers on the map when the users change to another page within the dashboard in order to see the graphs that applies to those stations. Without this capability, I need to create separate maps for each Stations to show (Temperature stations, Precipitation Station, Solar radiation stations, etc.), making more difficult to maintain the overall project. Thanks!

Yes, For some webmaps, I just collapse the formInfo tags, copy this particular section only and paste it into another webmap and start editing from there, leaving everything else as it is. I think the tool allows you to copy/paste whatever json tags you need. Obviously, you need to be aware of the opening/closing parentheses. It takes a little practice but once learned, it's really helpful. Good luck! MJ

@Tiff, If I need to replace a hosted feature layer in a webmap where all the popups, forms, defined editing-rules are already present, I do the following (understanding the new hosted feature layer contains the same attributes as the old one, except is a new geographic view or query): Create a copy of your "original" webmap. The copy will be replaced with the new hosted feature layer (the view). Annotate the URL for the new hosted feature layer you need to replace. Usually is in the form of "https://services2.arcgis.com/HRY6x9wt5qjGnAA9/arcgis/rest/services/View_Tree_Census_Liana_view/FeatureServer/0". You'll replace the old URL one with the new one. Open the Agol assistant. Load the copied target webmap and select the option "View and item JSON" The window with the webmap content will have two sections: description and data. Search on the data section for the "operationalLayers" tag. This tag contains all the hosted feature layers present in the current webmap. Search the hosted feature layer you'll like to replace. You'll notice it contains all the webmap definitions, like formInfo, showLabels, layerDefinition, popupInfo, etc. Replace the old URL tag section with the new one you have. Save the Json definition. Open the saved webmap on the mapviewer or Field Maps and you'll have the new feature class with all the layer definitions correctly applied. Hope this helps, Cheers, MJ

Hub Team Folks, First: you provide a nice platform to share data with the public. I'm a big fan of your work and I feel really grateful to have this platform. Idea: enable or allow to provide external links or additional resources for content published on Hub sites other than Feature Services and Map Services. Per the documentation available here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/hub/content/data-download-settings.htm The last sentence reads: At this time, additional resources are only supported for items that reference a feature service or a map service. Why: publishing rasters as tiled services is a great way to provide our users instant access to really important raster layers. But these users would like to download the full resolution tiff file as well, to work on their own (clip it, classify it, etc.) We already have a zip file for all the published raster layers, so it would be easy to include it in the metadata, on the Distribution section. This way, our users may discover the tiled raster on Hub, view the raster, and click the download button provided in the metadata. Allowing the external resources for feature or map services only is restrictive. Please, contact me if you need more information about this request. Cheers, Milton

Although it's an old thread, the "Image Service" type layer is not capable to sharing with the public, only at organization level, thus defeating the purpose to allow to download. Hub should allow to download ANYTHING with an external link. For feature services works great but for rasters (usually tiled services) works halfway (visualization only.) Cheers, Milton

Hi @sshelbypm , Thank you for the quick reply. Now, why on earth is this option limited? What is the reason behind? One cool thing (among many others) about imagery layers is the option to download the rasters in Hub sites. Unfortunately, tiled imagery doesn't have this functionality. (A bit of rant) I have a bunch of tiled imagery layers already published but my users can't download directly from the interface and have to read the description to find the download link on the description. If only tiled imagery had the option to download external links defined on the metadata, would be great. Cheers, Milton

Hi Folks, Can anyone explain why the option to share with Everyone (public) is greyed out in ArcGIS Online when sharing an imagery layer? See the attached screenshot where this option is not available. I'm an admin on my organization but I can find how to share this layer type with the public? I haven't found any documentation about limitations on publishing these datatypes with the public. Any ideas? Cheers, Milton

@GISJess I can attest this bug it is still present on Field Maps, version 23.3.0 on iPad (not only iPhones). My forms work great on Android devices with hidden field groups but raises errors on iPads. So I have to remove the conditional visibility for these fields. Let's hope ESRI is aware of this bug. I second this idea: we need to implement dashboards in at least two languages. Please, add this functionality. MJ

Do you think you could implement a way to differentiate in the content displayed in the Hub, regarding who is the author/creator of the content vs. who is the one who publishes the content? Currently only the publisher of the content appears on top, among other data details. Can the option to show author/creator of the dataset be enabled, with a link to their email/website? The reason behind this idea is that I publish a lot of geographic data that does not belong to me, I only make it available with AGOL. I would like to be transparent and clearly indicate who is the author/creator of the data.

Please, allow Survey123 to work with related fields other than GUID. Right now, the documentation says "Survey123 only supports one-to-many GUID relationships when working with existing feature layers and related tables". This is a deal breaker for my project, let me explain why: I have a tree database that dates back to 1990. This database has two tables (trees and stems), linked by TREETAG, in a 1:M relationship. This treetag field is a string used on the table and printed on aluminum tags attached to the trees. Field Maps works perfectly with the tables related by treetag but I would like to use Survey123 to update data on the field. Problem is, Survey123 doesn't support relates not based on GUID. But why? AGOL and Field Maps supports it. Thanks for considering.

Hi Folks, Incredible this idea wasn't suggested a long time ago. Here's a real use case: We need to compare last census tree width with the new width, and to inform the user in case the values are less than 2mm or more than 50mm than the last census values. An arcade expression makes it easy to do but there's no way to show or display such a message. The cumbersome workaround is to add a field... a field to show this message. Not a great solution. Excellent presentation. It's a shame that the features for editing and updating items hosted on ArcGIS Online are Premium options. The option to update a URL Report after the report creation is a great idea, blocked with the premium paywall.
