Saving edits of point layer in the ArcPad,

I couldn???t figure out how the edits of point layer are saved in the ArcPad.

Are they saved automatically?

I case of polyline and polygon, one needs to press ???save geometry changes??? to save the edits.

Thank you

Hi Jamal,

You are correct - ArcPad will save your Point Feature as soon as you select 'OK' and the Edit Form closes.

For Polyline and Polygon Features - you launch the Edit Form by selecting 'Proceed to Attribute Capture' - the ArcPad will save your Polyline/Polygon Feature as soon as you select 'OK' and the Edit Form closes.

This is different from ArcMap where all edits in an edit session must be saved - ArcPad will commit each feature as soon as both the geometry and attributes have been captured 🙂

Thanks Hannah. Good to confirm these facts regarding the difference between ArcMap and ArcPad.
