I'm looking to split this polygon into 3 separate polygons. Normally, this would be a simple task however, I am hitting a wall on how to perform this split without actual boundaries. Any help or suggestion would be great. Thanks!
I can display the number of patients by census tracts using dot density but I also want to display expected percent change in the future. I don't think I can do both of those with symbology, is there a way to convert from a polygon to points based on the number of patients by census tract so that I have a feature class that looks like a dot…(Show moreShow less)
Hi, I want to change the attribute field order in a feature class. I am able to add and delete fields fine, but I cant seam to permanently change the display order in the table. I have tried in several different ways ( arcCatelog, Desktop). Thanks, Marcella
When exporting a mapbook to a single pdf with multiple pages I want to include the features as layers. This works perfectly, only I wish it was possible to have a single layer manager (example_2), now it looks like example_1. Does anyone know if this is possible? We want to use the pdf's for multiple uses and we don't people having to click on…(Show moreShow less)
I may or may not have a question that might be suitable for the old Ask a Cartographer site but I think that has been turned off. If it still possible to submit a question to it can you tell me where? If not can you tell me what its modern day counterpart is, please? The question I am thinking about asking a cartographer is described at…(Show moreShow less)
I am using a Trimble data collector to get GPS points of culverts. I am shooting both ends of the culverts and exporting a shape file right out of the data collector. Each point is on its own line in the attribute table and I need to merge them onto one line. I tried the merge tool in editor but it is grey out. Any ideas would be helpful Thanks…(Show moreShow less)
you can't merge point with line or line with polygon or any deferent geometry type/shape, just the same geometry. if you want to have an attribute to the other shape file , you can use Spatial Join tool.Spatial Join—Help | ArcGIS Desktop
I have searched for that I thought would be a simple question. I would like to set a map I have created to open by default when I log in. Can't find the answer / steps anywhere. Thanks for any help. Greg
Hi everyone, I have some old GPS track data in the form of a comma-delimited txt file created by DNRGarmin/DNRGPS from a Garmin GPS. I'm trying to convert it into .gpx using gpsbabel so that I can synchronize and geotag some photos using GeoSetter or gpicsync, but whenever I convert it the time field retains the date but sets all the timestamps…(Show moreShow less)
Yeah I'll keep working with it and see if I can find out why it applied that time shift. The issue is I am using the track to geotag photos, but maybe I can input a custom offset to sync them up anyways. Thanks a lot for the help Dan!
I'd create a separate list of raster for each folder using the List Rasters function. http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/arcpy/functions/listrasters.htm I'd iterate through one list to use as the first input for the Divide function and use an index to pull the appropriate raster from the second list of rasters. import arcpy import os…
I began creating an online web map project using the tour template. when I try to configure it, I get this message: "Sorry, Map Tour loading failed" What I really want to do is have a map showing about 40 projects, and a simple list, or drop down list, which a user could choose a project to view, click on it and be shown the location and a…(Show moreShow less)
