Sentinel imagery might be useful to see how river mouths looks now - latest imagery is usually only a few days old. https://sentinel2explorer.esri.com/

Possibly - my GPU jumped from 6% to 27% for a split second doing a spatial selection. But there may be other things (spatial indexes, topology, reprojections) that help GIS with geographic/graphic queries.

Hi Dawn. Whereas Mina was extruding downward to an absolute depth below 'zero' or sea level, it sounds like you might want to extrude downward from a much higher ground level given by an elevation surface. If your pond depth is in a field for example, change the extrusion type to "Base Height", and set the Field to your pond depth field. If the values in there are positive (eg "2.9"), you will just need to subtract from zero to go down instead of up:

Yip, a million bytes, one byte (8 bits) per cell, irrespective of how geographically big that cell is - so not much room there. Only 255 unique values can be stored. So maybe an index for a lookup classification, or maybe a greyscale image like a hillshade. Or a single band from an RGB(I+) photographic image. Not a DEM - you'd typically want to store floating-point numbers at least, which take more than one byte.

If you need geometry, have a look in the Overlay toolset: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/analysis/an-overview-of-the-overlay-toolset.htm

Hi again. Just discovered that the 'remove' option popped up once my aprx was saved, closed and reopened. Might be easier than going spelunking in a aprx 🙂

Hia. Sorry - it's summer down-under so I went on holiday 😁. This is a bug which I imagine will get sorted in the next patch. I'll double check if it's been reported. But in the meantime: The custom band combination gets saved into the .aprx file - which is basically a .zip compressed file containing a lot of other files, mainly xml and json. To find/edit/delete the custom band combo, first back up the aprx in case we scramble something by accident. Then rename it with a ".zip" extension instead of .aprx. Then, inside the .zip file - look for a file called "GISProject". And inside *that* file, using notepad or your favorite text viewer, search for a string called "RasterBandCombination". You'll spot your custom band combination in a confusing looking string (eg below between two semicolons) and there it can then be deleted. You'll then need to save, rezip and rename back to .aprx. Simple 😬

I love raster analysis, and it might work well here. You'd need to convert the three layers to coded raster layers, but once done you can use Raster Calculator (or Spatial Analyst GP tools) to do all kinds of number-running. Raster calculator is great as it is non-destructive and very fast, which helps with learning and pattern detection. eg Veg class change could be a simple Not Equal - will give a matrix with "1" where there is change, and '0' where there is not. Run twice (60s/90s and 90s/20s) and add results together to get a matix of 0(no change) 1(one change in class) or 2 (two changes in class)

675 pages is a lot - disappearing labels might be Acrobat/Reader glitching as SHartholt mentioned. Especially if they show up in Pro before exporting. If not this, check there isn't a graphic or polygon feature masking the labels as Jesse says - they can be invisible/hollow/ boundary outside map extent, which makes things fun eg sheet index polygons. Next thing will be label-engine rules eg 'label largest part only', 'repeat' and 'overrun'.

Original TIF might have some type of compression, typically LZW. 'Maintain Clipping Extent' might have also forced a smaller cell or larger raster dimension size.

Hi Stephanie. To get average cross slope I would create transect lines perpendicular to your trails at an appropriate interval and length, and use these to get 'cross' elevation profiles as you've done already. There is a new transect tool in the sampling toolbox: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/generate-transects-along-lines.htm

My example is a bit of a bodge, but provided a way to put the middle of the divergent ramp exactly at the value I wanted. The bodge is that I split my raster into two layers with different MinMax values using Stretch raster function (and messing with the statistics), and then symbolized with two monochrome red/green ramps ending/starting with white. And then specifying max/min value as transparent in the Mask tab. Works but not elegant.
