10.3.2 #windows 10* Hello, We are a local government organization looking to upgrade from ArcGIS 10.3.1 Enterprise (servers, clients, everything) to 10.3.2. My question is, is 10.3.2 compatible with Windows 10? We cannot go to 10.5 as it will cause compatibility issues with some s/w we are using that integrate with ArcGIS, so 10.3.2 seems to be a good option. Another question I have is, are there any definite advantages going from 10.3.1 to 10.3.2? TIA, -Deepti

Hope this helps someone. Was not able to get it to work by using projections. Found an old archived forum thread which helped me convert to lat long mathematically. Here's the code below. private void MyMap_MouseMove(object sender, System.Windows.Input.MouseEventArgs args) { if (MyMap.Extent != null) { System.Windows.Point screenPoint = args.GetPosition(MyMap); ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.MapPoint mapPoint = MyMap.ScreenToMap(screenPoint); if (MyMap.WrapAroundIsActive) mapPoint = ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.Geometry.NormalizeCentralMeridian(mapPoint) as ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.MapPoint; Double longi = mapPoint.X; Double lati = mapPoint.Y; Double pi = 3.14159267; Double magicnum = 6356752.3142; Double radtodeg = 57.295779513082322; Double latitude = new Double(); Double longitude = new double(); latitude = radtodeg * ((2 * Math.Atan(Math.Exp(lati / magicnum))) - (pi / 2)); longitude = radtodeg * (longi / magicnum); StatusTextBlock.Text = string.Format("Map Coords: X = {0}, Y = {1}", Math.Round(latitude, 4), Math.Round(longitude, 4)); } }

Bumping this up. Looking for answer for the same question above. Same environment - 10.0, won't be upgrading to 10.1 soon. Want to apply label styles just like applying symbology. How do I go about it? TIA -Deepti

Thank you both for your replies. I was able to successfully implement Jennifer's solution. Appreciate it! I did get the math behind Hugo's function. But my app's coordinates are not in decimal degrees(my mistake, in the initial post), the coordinates in my app are exactly like in the Silverlight API sample I linked to. Seems to be UTM. For example for 60.7344(now that's decimal degrees) latitude, my app's co-ordinates show up the lat value as 8565096.38759.

I want to implement this example, but would like to show the mouse coords in lat long instead of decimal degrees. Any pointers? Thanks, -Deepti

Hello, I have a problem with FGDC metadata in feature classes that reside in SDE geodatabases. All interaction between Desktop and SDE happens with version 10 products. Here is what happens: 1. I have a feature class with FGDC metadata (has not been upgraded to ArcGIS Metadata) 2. I merely want to edit the ArcGIS Metadata so that its title is identical to the FGDC counterpart. 3. I use ArcCatalog and the new metadata editor to put a title in the ArcGIS Metadata. 4. I see that the title has been updated, and that the FGDC metadata has not been changed. 5. I click to another feature class, look at its metadata, and click back to my original feature class. 6. The title in the ArcGIS Metadata has disappeared, along with the entire FGDC metadata record. This happens with Service Pack 1, Service Pack 2, and the recently released Service Pack 3. Has anyone experienced this? We have the same problem (V10 SP3) and one quick fix that seemed to work for us is after updating and saving, we also validate(press the validate button on the top menu.) The newly added metadata stays ! -Deepti

Glad to have found this post. I had a similar problem, a point layer which was playing hide-n-seek while using the identify button. Was not sure whether it had to do with the layer ordering - all the other layers being polygons or tolerance. Set tolerance (=screen pixels) to 10 and it works good. Thank you, Angel. Here are all the class members of IdentifyParameters.

Hi...I set ReturnGeometry=true, but it doesn't work too. my toolkit version is 1.2, is your toolkit version 2.1? I had this problem again and I found that in the mxd you use to create your webservice, if you turn off the shape column of the layers you run the query on, selectedfeature.geometry comes back as null. Keep the shape column on if you are doing anything with geometry. Also make sure you have Geometry service running on your web server.

Hello: I have a Silverlight 4.0 app running fine in IE8, FF 3.x etc. But one of the users who is using it on IE9(the only one who uses it on IE9) has a problem zooming with mouse-wheel. Whether the user scrolls the mouse wheel up or down, it always zooms out. The user is unable to zoom in using the scroll wheel. Is it a compatibility issue of IE9 and the version of ArcGIS API I am using(2.1)? Thanks, -Deepti (REPOST FROM ARCGIS-SERVER-REST FORUM)

Hello: I'd like to develop a functionality in my app where the user can add graphics to the map like this and then the user be able to export it, to either kml or shapefile and have it saved on the desktop. Is there any sample code out there that does this (export to shape or kml from silverlight 4.0 map app)? Thank you, -Deepti
